While technically part of the draccus family dracopleads lack not only the hollow bones of their flight-capable cousins, but also musculature. Evolutionary evidence of ancestory can be seen in the humps of bone and fat most carry between their front shoulder blades.

Because dracopleads (both bi and quadrupedal) are earth-bound they are also the most domesticated of the draccus family. Most often seen in a martial context they also sometimes serve as transportation for those of royalty or financial wealth.
